Although Claire Forlani was born in England, the better part of her career has been spent playing Americans. And it makes a body patriotic. Claire made her acting debut in the Slovenian production Gypsy Eyes , which also happened to feature her first and finest hootage shots. Shortly thereafter she made her first appearance Stateside in the mini-series J.F.K.: Reckless Youth , followed by a bit part in Police Academy: Mission to Moscow. Thankfully, Claire landed a lead in Mallrats , and things took off for this dark-haired beauty with the blockbuster The Rock. A star turn in Meet Joe Black led to rumors that she was dating co-star Brad Pitt, who had just broken it off with Gwyneth Paltrow. She denies the romance but admits to a brief fling with John Cusack. Her last big role was in AntiTrust , a faux Bill Gates thriller that never caught on. Since then Claire has been remanded to such parts as “Sorority Sister” in the comedy Going Greek. Hopefully her career isn’t going south.
