It’s hard for an Italian actress to scandalize nowadays, but Eva Grimaldi stirred up plenty of passion with her role in La Monaca del peccato , a.k.a. The Convent of Sinners. At least nobody can say Eva is unbelievable as a hot young thing pursued by both priests and nuns. Grimaldi soon found herself working with Federico Fellini in Intervista before heading back to the gutter to star with Fred Williamson in Cobra nero , a.k.a. The Black Cobra, a remake of Sylvester Stallone’s Cobra. Eva, incidentally, filled in for Brigitte Nielsen’s role. Grimaldi went on to get us gleeful with plenty of nude scenes, including a rough romp with Klaus Kinski in Paganini. She shares her talent with the occasional lucky American, too, including Andrew McCarthy as an expatriate with an excellent full-frontal view of Eva in Quiet Days in Clichy.
