Alison Armitage started her career on the pages of Playboy magazine as Brittany York in October 1990. She says the spread was mainly to get back at an unfaithful ex-boyfriend. “I did it right after we split up,” she smirks. “I wanted to show him ‘This is what you had, and this is what you’ve lost.’ ” He got an even bigger eyeful (and another reason to put his foolish head in a noose) with Alison’s turn in I Posed for Playboy (1991). Sure, the role wasn’t that much of a stretch, although she did some rather intriguing stretching in the production itself. Her modeling exposure quickly led to several TV guest appearances–including a memorable role as a sexy dental hygienist on Seinfeld. Then came Acapulco H.E.A.T., a cult TV show for guys who like eye candy without much of a wrapper. Alison has since shown off skinage in pictures such as Miracle Beach (1992), as well as in a multitude of Playboy video productions, including Wet & Wild IV (1992) and Playboy Video Playmate Calendar (1991). Unfortunately, Alison has since been reduced to roles such as Girlfriend and Former Girlfriend in such films as Driven (2001) and Jerry Maguire (1996), respectively. Maybe it’s time for another Playboy spread to open doors for this hottie.
